My 100 Monkey show!!!

*I am in the process of posting the pictures and video I took this week...I've been pretty busy and yeah...*

So I went to the show in Madison Wisconsin on March 4th(I know I'm behind...lots of work and stuff). I got there at about 7ish, which is when the doors were supposed to open. They weren't open, so my friend Keshia and I got in line and wait until like 7:35 for them to finally open the doors. We got in and went in to the room(I guess) and got spots in like the 2nd row. Meteorade performed, they were pretty good...but I wasn't paying much attention cause I really wanted the Monkeys on. Then Sunspot performed, I got into them a little more than Meteorade. So they finished and had the crowd hyped up for the 100 Monkeys.

Scott and Marty set the guys up pretty much, I think that Ben J and Uncle did a little bit. They all came out and did the sound checky stuff. They left the stage and a couple minutes later, Marty came on in the Banana suit and introduced the guys. They came out, Jackson carrying a video camera, I'm not really going to say a lot of the stuff that happened during the songs but will put them up in the order they did them(got a pic of the set list) and will say a little maybe. They started out the set with Wings On Fire which was really amazing live. They went into 2 of my favorite songs that Jackson sings, Orson Brawl and Ugly Girl. After that they did a song that I hadn't really heard before, The Fair. Up next was one of my 2nd favorite Spencer Bell song(that I know so far...ordering the cd this week), The Monkey Song, that was awesome, especially the rap part. then came Kolpix(that's how it's spelt) and then my favorite song Reaper. Then the song that put me to sleep once Grocery Store No More and then another one I didn't really know Shy Water. Next was the first improv song of the night, the girl in front of me with a monkey hat on got her's chosen by Jerad, Awesome Sauce, which turned into a 10 and 1/2 minute song...I'll post it on the site. Then was my favorite Ben J. song .38 Special...got some good pics of him singing it. Then was the one about an awesome dog named Gus. They did a Blues thing and then Thank You and then got off stage after Jackson said "we'll be back in like 2 minutes".

5 minutes later, after like most of the crowd left, or went downstairs cause a lot of it was family of the guys(I think Ben and Ben are from there or something...). They came out and performed Junkie. They then did their 2nd Spencer Bell song, Twenty to One and then the 2nd improv song, Bananas. Then they did Invisible Monsters, which I guess they don't really do that much. Their last song was Keep Awake. They got off the stage and then went downstairs, after about 15 minutes Uncle came back up and like 5 minutes later Jerad was up there. I asked him for a picture and got one(don't like it though...) and then waited like 20 more minutes for the rest of them to come up, they didn't before we left cause Keshia was tired and we had a 2 hour drive home....well that's it. It was an AMAZING first 100 Monkeys experience. I hope to go to more shows as this year goes on...

HRC Vegas....you suck

so I made this site on Jan. 27th...cause I was bored and wanted to spread the word of the awesome 100 MONKEYS...this blog was made Feb. 3rd.

so I been paying more attention to 100 Monkeys news lately and one of the big things was last Saturday they were treated like crap by the "wonderful" people at Hard Rock Cafe in Vegas. I know a few things that make it HRC's fault and not the 100 Monkeys, that one of the accounts I am going to back up, with the didadatiling around that the HRC employees did that they really didn't have to do they could have taken the stage on time. also the mic stand is easy to replace...especially when you are a place MADE for concerts....
